Earl L. Beckman, age 87, of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the La Plata Nursing Home in La Plata, Missouri.
Born July 29, 1938, in the state of Iowa, he was the son of Henry and Daisy (Head) Beckman.
Surviving is one sister, Barb Grable of Kirksville, Missouri and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His parents and one sister, Shirley Walker-Cheatum preceded him in death.
Earl lived most of his life in La Plata, Missouri. He worked in lawn care, shoveling snow, and was well known for being the projectionist at the Green Theater. Earl enjoyed collecting stamps and coins and watching trains and silent movies.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2026, in the La Plata Cemetery.
