Roger Dean Jarman

Roger Dean Jarman, age 90 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023 at his home.
Born September 7, 1933 in Unionville, Missouri, the son of Earnest Vernon and Margaret (McCalment) Jarman. On December 22, 1956 in Gifford, Missouri he was united in marriage to Mary Evelyn Magers who preceded him in death on May 10, 2020.
Also preceding him in death were his parents; one son, Roger J. Jarman; and one sister, Janice Pollock.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Mike Daniels of La Plata, Missouri; one grandson, Jeremy Jarman; and three great grandchildren, Hadley, Judson, and Holden.
Roger was a graduate of Edina High School. He served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954. He was employed at Toastmaster Inc. in Macon, Missouri until his retirement. Roger was a member of the V.F.W., La Plata American Legion, and Gifford Christian Church. He enjoyed stock car racing, helping on the farm, and spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Burial with full military honors will be in Indian Hill Cemetery north of Gifford, Missouri.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 19, 2023 with the family receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
