Travis Funeral Chapel

Terry Ray Spencer, age 63 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at his home.

Born September 3, 1960 in Edina, Missouri, the son of Stanley and Patricia (Rhoades) Spencer.

Survivors include his father, Stanley Spencer of Newark, Missouri; one son, Tyler Spencer (Jessie Foote) of Elmer, Missouri; grandson, Bentley Spencer and one grandchild on the way; and three sisters, Tina Louise (Tim) Eitel of Bethel, Missouri, Melissa Ann Sizemore or Gorin, Missouri, and Jolene Renee Spencer of Newark, Missouri.

His mother, Patricia Spencer preceded him in death.

Terry lived most of his life in Knox County, Missouri. He was a 1979 graduate of Knox County High School and was employed at Kraft Foods for many years, retiring in 2017. Terry was a member of Novelty Christian Church and attended the La Plata Christian Church.

Terry enjoyed remote cars, trucks, boats, and planes and loved spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2023 at Novelty Christian Church in Novelty, Missouri. Burial will be in the Mt. Salem Cemetery near Newark, Missouri.

Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church.
