Leslie C. Dawdy, age 69 of Macon, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at his home.
Born June 13, 1953 in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of Charles “Buddy” and Cathern Ailene (Benjamin) Dawdy, who preceded him in death. On May 24, 1975 in Millwood, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Deborah Dwyer, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Johnathon Dawdy of Kansas City, Missouri and Adam (Millicent) Dawdy of Macon, Missouri; and two grandsons, Easton James Dawdy and Pace Charles Dawdy.
Les was a 1971 graduate of La Plata High School and a 1981 graduate of Truman State University with a B.S. degree in Industrial Occupation, with an emphasis in Electronics and Electricity. Les worked at Missouri Power & Light for several years. After college he worked in industry with computerized machines and then in education. He was a member of the La Plata Christian Church. Les enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, playing guitar and banjo, and most of all, spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Burial will be in La Plata Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 1, 2022 with the family receiving friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
