Marjorie L. Hendren

Marjorie L. Hendren, age 92 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Born March 16, 1923 in Greentop, Missouri, she was the daughter of Victor and Goldie (Pearce) McElhinney. On October 4, 1946 in Macon, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Samuel B. Hendren who preceded her in death on November 11, 1990.
Also preceding her in death were her parents.
Surviving is one son, Dennis Hendren of La Plata, Missouri.
Marjorie was a 1941 graduate of Greentop High School. She moved to La Plata from Kirksville in 1953. She sold Avon for many years. Marjorie was a member of the OES and the Community Presbyterian Church of La Plata, Missouri.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Officiating will be Reverend John Becker.
Burial will be in Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville, Missouri.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 17, 2016 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri.
