Keith Jerold Bailey

Keith Jerold Bailey, age 66 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
Born October 30, 1946 near Ethel, Missouri, he was the son of Harry K. and Ruby Irene (Epperson) Bailey. On November 5, 1976 in Kirksville, Missouri, he married Debra J. Humphrey who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Jeff Bailey and wife Betty of Guam, Richard Morrow and fiancée Laura Brown of Shelbina, Missouri, and Jerry Hays and wife Fay of Kirksville, Missouri; three daughters, Angie DeWitz and husband Arthur of Guam, Kara Bailey of La Plata, Missouri, and Tara Boston and husband David of La Plata, Missouri; one brother, Kenneth Bailey and wife Mary of Shelbina, Missouri; one sister, Karen Fogleman of Tulsa, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren, Adrian, Keith, Brea, Nicholas, Rai, Kristopher, new baby girl DeWitz, Chase, Bayli, Brandon, Riley, Drew, Anthony, and Beth; and three great grandchildren.
His parents and two sisters, Donna Matlick and Gwen Murphy preceded him in death.
Keith attended school in La Plata and graduated from Kirksville High School in 1964. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He moved to La Plata from Green City in 1998. Keith was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, helping other people, and especially spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri.
Burial with full military honors will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the day of the funeral service.
