Terrell S. "Turkey" Hill

Terrell “Turkey” S. Hill, age 61 of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
Born December 19, 1950 in Kirksville, Missouri, he was the son of Horace H. and Betty R. (Dorman) Hill. On December 19, 2010 in Orleans, Iowa, he married Karmen Underwood who survives.
Also surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Travis and Geovana Hill of Elgin, Texas, Daniel and Michelle Hill of Raymore, Missouri, and Jeff and Annabell Hill of Hutto, Texas; one daughter, Tiffany Hill of St. Joseph, Missouri; one step daughter, Kimberly Mendenhall and husband Ray of Kirksville, Missouri; one brother, Dr. Tom Hill and wife Betty of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; Thirteen grandchildren, Giulia, Gabriel, Mosiah, Noah, Mikinzi, Rian, Aidan, Kami, Nadia, Haisley, Ambrose, Dalton and Kayla; one aunt, Mabel Hill of Novinger, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Samantha Hill of Novinger, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one infant daughter, Stephanie; one brother, Roger Hill; one sister, Karen Drews; and three other siblings in infancy.
Terrell lived most all of his life in Macon and Adair Counties. He was a 1968 graduate of La Plata High School and attended Truman State University. He was employed at Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville from 1984 to 2003. Terrell worked in maintenance and enjoyed driving the bus at the care center, selling produce, especially tomatoes, and loved taking his grandchildren hunting. He was a member of the Meadow Brook Christian Church in Kirksville, Missouri.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Officiating will be the Reverend Richard Lawrence.
Burial will be in the La Plata Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Schreckhise, Dennis Schreckhise, Henry Johnson, Clifford Rogers, Ray Mendenhall, and Dalton Mendenhall.
Visitation will be Friday, August 17, 2012 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Travis Funeral Chapel, 125 S. Church St., La Plata, Missouri 63549.
