Kevin Devoine Buck, age 53 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at his home.

Born July 25, 1964 in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of Raymond D. and Patricia Kay (Garnett) Buck. On February 24, 1991 in Macon, Missouri he was united in marriage to Carol Smith who survives.

Also surviving are his parents, Raymond Buck and wife Beth of La Plata and Kay Garnett of Atlanta, Missouri; two sons, Birdie Buck and girlfriend Caysi of Kirksville, Missouri and Joe Myers and wife Maria of Macon, Missouri; two daughters, Tabatha Ruppel and husband Joe of La Plata and Sara Buck; one sister, Jennifer Brookhart and husband Brent of Atlanta, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Noah, Katelynn, Joseph, Emma, Hannah, Alleigh, Acien, and Harper; and several nieces and nephews.

His grandparents and one sister, Kim West preceded him in death.

Kevin lived most all of his life in the Atlanta and La Plata communities. He was a 1982 graduate of Atlanta High School. He started trucking at the age of 18. Kevin was an avid guitar player, playing in the Linkyn Jacybs Band and Rapid Transit Band. He was a member of the NEMO Railroad Club and the Gospel Center Church in Macon, Missouri.

Kevin was known as a big storyteller, never meeting a stranger, and spending time with his dogs.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Officiating will be Pastor Elaine Alread.
