Gary Ray Jones

Gary Ray Jones, age 58 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Born September 9, 1959 in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of Ray and Velma (Gay) Jones. On March 3, 2006 in Atlanta, Missouri he was united in marriage to Holly Bouma who survives.
Also surviving is father, Ray Jones of Macclenny, Florida; step-father, Glen Lowe of Jacksonville, Florida; one son, Chad Bouma of La Plata, Missouri; two daughters, Amy Ryle and husband Wesley of Kirksville, Missouri and Elizabeth Rice of Sarasota, Florida; one brother Toby Starling of Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters, Reta Dubberly of Glenville, Georgia and Lois Adcock of Macclenny, Florida; nine grandchildren, James and Tyler Rice, Victoria and Rebecca Ryle, Brandon and Emilee Grimes, Anthony Johnson, Daniel and Jacob Funk; one great grandson, Xavier Grimes; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His mother, Velma Lowe and sister, Beverly preceded him in death.
Gary lived on a farm near Novelty, Missouri for a number of years before moving to La Plata in 2015. He loved being on the farm and raising his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in La Plata, Missouri. Officiating will be Pastor Matt Tanner. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral services at the church.
