Irene had a lifelong passion for fishing. No matter the weather, or even if she had to sit on the ground, she fished as long as the Lord allowed. She enjoyed sharing this passion and teaching others, as she did with a young neighbor boy, Tanner. Irene also enjoyed gardening, caring for her beautiful houseplants, listening to bluegrass and old country music, and attending auctions any chance she could. She cherished visiting with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren whenever possible.
Above all, Irene loved the Lord. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she lived it out in a way that left a lasting impression on her family. She taught those around her the importance of a personal relationship with God and a respect for His word - something that will continue to live on through the generations after her.
Irene was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Irene will be cremated and laid to rest at Rocky Ford Cemetery in Dent County, Missouri. Service details will be announced by the family at a later time.
