Walter L. Slover, Jr

Walter L. Slover Jr., age 75, of Macon, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon, Missouri with his family by his side.
Born March 16, 1950, in Macon, Missouri, the son of Walter L. and Mary June (Magers) Slover Sr. On August 19, 1978, in Macon, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Kathy Brown who survives.
Also surviving is one son, Tim (Dustie) Slover of Macon, Missouri; one sister, Brenda (Greg) Lewis of Macon, Missouri; and three grandchildren, William, Chloe, and Braxton Slover.
His parents and one son, Robert Slover preceded him in death.
Walter lived most of his life in Macon. He was a 1968, graduate of Macon High School. He was employed for several years at Moberly Correctional Center in Moberly, Missouri. Walter was a member of the Elks Lodge and Ham Radio Club of Macon. He had served as Scout Master of Troop 81 and volunteered at the Macon County Historical Museum. Walter enjoyed shooting with his grandson and spending time with his family.
Private graveside services will be in the La Plata Cemetery in La Plata, Missouri at a later date.
