Carol Ann (Lene) Morehead-Yearns, age 57, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Born July 28, 1967, in Kirksville, Missouri, the daughter of Clifford and Judith (Buck) Lene.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Lene of Jefferson City, Missouri and Brendon Lene of Licking, Missouri; two daughters, Jackie (Tyler) Simmons of La Plata, Missouri and Heaven Morehead (Cristian) of Lancaster, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jackson and Kaylee Simmons, Armani Cullers, and one on the way; one sister, Nancy Heck of La Plata, Missouri; and her dog, Max.
Her parents and brother, Jackey Lene preceded her in death.
Carol lived most of her life in the La Plata community. She was a 1985 graduate of La Plata High School and a member of the La Plata Baptist Church. Carol never met a stranger. She loved cooking, spending time with her family, and her dog.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Inurnment will be in the La Plata Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
