Wanda Faye (Lene) Webb, age 84, formerly from LaPlata, Missouri, passed away in the home with her daughter and grandson by her side on March 26, 2025.

Born March 30, 1940, in Adair County, Missouri. She was the daughter of Rollie Leon and Hulda Evelyn (Perry) Lene of LaPlata, Missouri. Wanda was a 1958 graduate of La Plata High School and upon graduation she attended Cosmetology School in Kirksville, Missouri where she received her cosmetology license before moving to Kansas City in 1963.

Wanda was the co-owner/operator of the Rockhill Beauty Salon and Ru-be-doo Beauty in Kansas City Missouri. Wanda and husband Franklyn LeRoy Webb were married December 10, 1990 in Clark County, Nevada. Their passion was traveling and visiting places like the Philippines, where they were in their best friends, Larry and Cathy Uttley’s wedding party. Hawaii was another dream vacation for mom, where they spent a couple months while Frank was working there. The last trip they were able to make was to Alaksa and Canada. Both Frank and Wanda loved square dancing. They used to say it was the friendships, good times and memories they made during those years that meant the most. They tried every year to make the National Square Dance Conventions all over the USA. Wanda and Frank were making plans to go to Nova Scotia for their convention in 2019, unfortunately, that was one trip they never got to make. While dancing with the Single Promendar’s club, Wanda served as club president for 2 years with over 500 members at the time. Other hobbies Wanda enjoyed included; bowling on the Hair Dressers league every Monday where she carried most times 180-200 average. Her family was her biggest treasure where she was always there for them. Wanda enjoyed cooking and baking especially during the Christmas Holiday’s where she shared plates full with friends and neighbors every year. I think Christmas was her favorite holiday.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Rollie L Lene (4/1/2002) and Hulda E Perry-Lene (12/15/2012); brother Elmer "Sammy" L Lene (8/19/1976); and husband, Franklyn L Webb (8/6/2019).

Surviving are Tamra J. Pitts, daughter; Joshua A. Reinhard grandson, both of Raymore, Missouri; 3 step-children, Dean Webb, Darla Siep, Deborah Winkler; several step-grandchildren; and her dog Mr. Petey McShane.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2025 in the La Plata Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Tunnel’s to Tower’s website www.t2t.org in Wanda's name or a donation to the LaPlata Cemetery Maintenance fund through LaPlata City Hall in Frank and Wanda Webbs name.
