Wanda Zane Sederwall

Wanda Zane Sederwall, 96, of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the La Plata Nursing Home in La Plata, Missouri.
Born November 7, 1927, in High Hill, Missouri, the daughter of Julius Edward and Louise Caroline (Meyer) Spencer. On September 7, 1946, in St. Charles, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Wendell Eugene Sederwall who preceded her in death on February 25, 2006.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; two sons, Darrel Ross Sederwall and Wendell Eugene Sederwall Jr.; and two brothers, Larry Duane Spencer and James Edward Spencer.
Surviving is one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Louise and Robert Deskin of Macon, Missouri; one granddaughter, Dana (Steve) Nelson of Puyallup, Washington; two great granddaughters, Lydia (Blake) Howard and Lauryn Nelson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wanda moved to La Plata in 1967, from the state of California. She managed the MFA chicken houses for a number of years and was later employed at Northeast Regional Hospital until her retirement. She was a 4-H leader from 1962-1967.
Wanda was a member of Atalpal II, American Legion Auxiliary, FLPP, Senior Circle, Rainbow Girls, and the La Plata United Methodist Church.
A Celebration of Life service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville, Missouri.
