Kent Cavender

Kent Cavender, age 65 of Elmer, Missouri, passed away at Samaritan Hospital surrounded by his beloved family on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.
Born September 19, 1958, in Miami, Oklahoma, the son of Rene and Sue (Hinds) Cavender. On April 7, 1979, in Callao, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Donita Biswell who survives.
Also surviving is his mother, Sue Cavender of Elmer, Missouri; three daughters, Anita (Ryan) Cavender-Schuldt of Omaha, Nebraska, Kenda (Austin) Holbrook of Macon, Missouri, and Tawna “TJ” Cavender (Ashtin Whitman) of Elmer, Missouri; two grandchildren, Navi and Nova Holbrook; two brothers, Curtis (Carrie) Cavender of Springfield, Missouri and Kyle Cavender of Elmer, Missouri; one sister, Susan Vankeirsbilck of Kansas City, Kansas; and one special son, Chris (Rachel) Coffman of Callao, Missouri.
His father, Rene and infant twin sisters, Jan and Jill preceded him in death.
Kent lived most of his life in the Elmer community. He had previously worked at Kraft Foods in Kirksville, Missouri, and was currently employed at Conagra in Macon, Missouri.
Kent’s family referred to him as a Jack of all trades, working on anything and everything. He loved being outdoors, especially spending time with Chris. He was entertained by the conversations he had with Austin, Ryan, and Ashtin. Kent cherished any time that was spent with his family. This year, he celebrated 45 years of marriage to the love of his life, Donita.
Services will be held at Young's Lodge in Callao, Missouri on Sunday, July 7, 2024, with visitation from 1-3 pm followed with the Celebration of Life from 4-5 pm.
Memorials in Memory of Kent may be made to the Randy Johnson Memorial Foundation.
