Travis Funeral Chapel

Shirley A. Webber, age 90 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at the La Plata Nursing in La Plata, Missouri.

Born January 3, 1934, in Adair County, Missouri, the daughter of Albert and Ollie (Bozearth) Thomas. On February 17, 1952, in La Plata, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Donald Webber who preceded her in death on January 23, 2002.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; two infant sons; three sisters, Mary Mason, Cora Darby, and Evelyn Thomas; and four brothers, Clarence, Leland, Gail, and Jarrel.

Surviving is one daughter, Sally Webber of La Plata, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

Shirley lived most of her life in La Plata, Missouri. She was a 1951 graduate of La Plata High School and a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in La Plata. She served as the church secretary and was a member of the church choir. Shirley enjoyed growing flowers, cooking and puzzles.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2024, at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the La Plata Cemetery.
