Mary Harvey, age 97 of Macon, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon, Missouri.
Born March 23, 1926 in Macon, Missouri, the daughter of John and Enrica (Ronchetto) Bruno. On August 15, 1952 in La Plata, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Glen Harvey who preceded her in death on August 28, 2006.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Paul Bruno; and three sisters, Martha Barr, Lucy Bonuchi, and one in infancy.
Surviving are two children, Larry (June) Harvey of Macon, Missouri and Sue (Wade) Chalstrom of Las Vegas, Nevada; four grandchildren, Chris (Ceagan) Harvey, Sarah (Ian) Markley, Drew Chalstrom, and Tyler Chalstrom; and two great grandchildren, Orion and Alex Markley.
Mary was a 1943 graduate of Macon High School. She lived most of her adult life in La Plata, Missouri. She clerked many years at the C&R Market and was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in La Plata. Mary enjoyed gardening, lawn work, her dog Sammy, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Burial will be in the La Plata Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Mary may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. They may be sent to or left at Travis Funeral Chapel, 125 S. Church St., La Plata, MO 63549.
