Kenneth Wayne Baker Sr., age 73 of Macon, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023 at his home.
Born September 17, 1949 in Mexico, Missouri, the son of Warren and Sarah Jane (Duckworth) Baker. On August 6, 1972 in Macon, Missouri he was united in marriage to Shirley Tipton who preceded him in death on January 5, 2015.
Also preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, William Warren Baker; stepmother, Ida Mae Baker; and brother-in-law, Rick Osman.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Christina (Roger) Riley of Macon and Kim (Josh) Roberts of Macon; one son and girlfriend, Kenneth “Buddy” (Rachael) Baker II of Macon; one brother and sister-in-law, Tom (Karen) Baker of Macon, two sisters, Donna (Jim) Hutchinson of Macon and Cindy Osman of Jacksonville, Missouri; six granddaughters, Ashlei (Tyler) Fuller, Cassidy Fuemmeler, McKenzie Lagle, Summer Baker, Sierra (Justin) Howe, and Alyzza Riley; one great grandson, Kennett Fuller; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kenneth was a 1967 graduate of Macon High School. He served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1972, doing three tours in Vietnam. He was employed with Macon Electric Cooperative for 30 plus years. Kenneth enjoyed St. Louis Cardinal baseball, hunting,fishing, camping, and most of all spending time with his family.
Family and friends gather for Graveside services with military honors at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2023 at Mt. Tabor Cemetery, east of Atlanta, Missouri.
