Eunice Mae Kelsey

Eunice Mae Kelsey, age 76 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at her home.
Born September 26, 1946 in Kirksville, Missouri, the daughter of Leonard R. and Eunice J. (Craig) Thomas. On August 31, 2007 in La Plata, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Jim Kelsey who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Chuck McBee of Booneville, Missouri; two daughters, Billie (Joey) Hurley of Downing, Missouri and Samantha McBee of Kirksville, Missouri; one stepson, Curtis (Nicky) Kelsey of Kirksville, Missouri; one stepdaughter, Emilie (Dan) Branstetter of Kirksville, Missouri; six grandchildren, Vanessa Hurley, Alec, Ciera, Adynn Miller, Gus Harris, and Jessica Perry; five great grandchildren; one sister, Louise (Ron) Stewart of Kirksville, Missouri; and one son-in-law, David Harris of Kirksville, Missouri.
Her parents and one daughter, Terri Harris preceded her in death.
Eunice was an LPN, having worked at Davis County Memorial Hospital in Bloomfield, Iowa and later at Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri. She was a member of Hazel Creek Baptist Church and attended the First Baptist Church in La Plata. Eunice enjoyed going to yard sales and going on walks.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in La Plata. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church.
Burial will be in the New Harmony Cemetery near Greentop, Missouri.
