Marie Mae Gladbach, age 76 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021, at The Pines in Kirksville, Missouri.

Born February 6, 1945, in Mexico, Missouri, the daughter of Oscar and Beulah (Hartley) Kinney. On December 31, 1963, in Atlanta, Missouri she was united in marriage to Junior Johnson who preceded her in death on November 2, 1998. On April 6, 2002, in Kirksville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Walter Gladbach who survives.

Also surviving are one son, Kim Johnson of Burlington, Iowa; three stepsons, James (Brenda) Gladbach of La Plata, Missouri, John (Sharon) Gladbach of La Plata, Missouri, and Alvin (Danette) Gladbach of Bevier, Missouri; three stepdaughters, Cheryl (Robert) Howard of Missouri City, Missouri, Norine (Brad) Eitel of La Plata, Missouri, and Christeen Cresswell of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; one brother, Fred (Colette) Kinney of Clarence, Missouri; 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Marie was a member of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church and VFW Auxiliary in Kirksville, Missouri. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, ceramic painting, and reading.

Rosary and prayer service will be 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021, and visitation following from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Kirksville, Missouri. Burial will be in the La Plata Cemetery in La Plata, Missouri.
