Robert "Bob" M. Rogers

Robert “Bob” M. Rogers, age 65 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Born May 13, 1955 in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of Leon and Merlene (Deacon) Rogers. On June 15, 1996 in Kirksville he was united in marriage to Deborah Long who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Rick and Kevin Rogers of Clearwater, Florida and Jason Glaspie (Lisa) of La Crosse, Wisconsin; three daughters, Jaime Rader (Roger) of La Plata, Missouri, Jessica Benedict (Jason Campbell) of Memphis, Missouri, and Sydney Stites (Nick Ford) of Kirksville, Missouri; two brothers, Rod Rogers (Karen) of Booneville, Missouri and Randy Rogers (Diane) of Kirksville, Missouri; two sisters, Gyla Elmore (Randy) and Marianne Martin (David Snook) both of Columbia, Missouri; eleven grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His parents preceded him in death.
Bob lived most all of his life in Kirksville and La Plata. He worked at Kirksville Car Frame Shop and in 2005 he became owner and operator of Village Auto Body in La Plata. He was a member of the La Plata Masonic Lodge. Bob enjoyed his yard, his dogs, and his family, especially his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Officiating will be Pastor John Gorham. Burial will be in the La Plata Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 1, 2020 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
