Travis Funeral Chapel

Marie Lewis, age 79 of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at Delmar Gardens of O’Fallon Nursing Home.

Born December 5, 1939 in La Plata, Missouri, the daughter of Leland and Mae (Young) McGandy. On March 15, 1964 in La Plata, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Floyd Harrison Lewis who preceded her in death on January 31, 1979.

Also preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Betty Zibung.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Lester and Jen Lewis of O’Fallon, Missouri; three grandchildren, Matthew Lewis, Rebecca Kersh, and Skylar Rhodes; one great granddaughter, Hunter Haney; one niece, Alicia Luken of Gas, Kansas; one nephew, Bryan Zibung of Odessa, Missouri; two great nieces, Kaydance and Brooklynn Zibung; one great nephew, Oliver Luken; and close friend, LeAnna (Rhodes) Lewis of La Plata, Missouri.

Marie was a 1957 graduate of La Plata High School, and a member of the La Plata Christian Church. She recently moved to O’Fallon, Missouri to be close to her son.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019 in the La Plata Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, February 8, 2019 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri.
