Laura A. Biswell

Laura A. Biswell, age 75 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Born August 6, 1942 in San Jose, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph and Viola (Dean) Thomason. On December 27, 1960 she was united in marriage to Delbert Biswell who preceded her in death on July 7, 2017.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Don Busse.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Donita and Kent Cavender of Callao, Missouri, Sylvia and Hershel Williams of Bevier, Missouri; one sister, Clara Logston and husband Ora of Peoria, Illinois; one brother, Jack Thomason and wife Mary of Manito, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Anita Cavender and boyfriend Ryan Schuldt, Kenda and Austin Holbrook, Derek Wertz, Alisha and Joe Tilinski, Sydney Wertz, Dylan Wertz, and Tawna Cavender; and three great grandchildren;
Laura moved to La Plata from her farm in Elmer, Missouri. She enjoyed gardening, canning, hunting, and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Inurnment will be at a later date in Elmer Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service starting at 1:00 p.m.
