Donald Clifford Wirtjes
June 16, 1950 - July 22, 2018
Donald C. Wirtjes, age 68 of South Gifford, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 at a friend’s home in South Gifford.
Born June 16, 1950 in Webster City, Iowa, the second son of four children to George A. and Vivian Dean (Wilson) Wirtjes.
Don had two sisters, Carol and Rosemary, and one brother, George.
He married Pamela Joyce Shahan on March 29, 1986 in Webster City. To this union were born two children, Tyler Randall of Grafton, Iowa and Whitney Renae (Myron) of St. Angstar, Iowa; Three grandchildren, Trento Wirtjes, Chloe and Brantley Heman; and his special friend, Jean Dingman of Webster City, Iowa.
Don truly enjoyed life. He never met a stranger, and would help anyone. Don was a gifted automobile mechanic from the age of 13. His love of nature created calmness for him. Don will be missed by many and loved by all.
Don has been cremated and there are no services scheduled at this time.
