Robert Dale "Mike" Bowen, age 77 of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at his daughter's home in Buckner, Missouri.
Born July 30, 1940 in La Plata, Missouri, the son of Alva and Edrie (Roberts) Bowen Fudge. On June 11, 1960 in La Plata, Missouri he was united in marriage to Mary Jane "Janie" Ruddell who preceded him in death on June 12, 2011. Also preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Paul Bowen.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Mendi and Dean Parsons of Buckner, Missouri; two grandchildren, Amanda Arnold (Justin) and Shayne Parsons (RaShod); two great grandchildren, Eli and Isaiah Arnold; brother-in-law, Terry Parsons and sister-in-law, Carol Parsons; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mike was a 1958 graduate of La Plata High School. He farmed and worked at the La Plata Golf Course for many years. Mike was loved and adored by his family.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2018 at the La Plata Cemetery in La Plata, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers memorials in memory of Robert Dale "Mike" Bowen may be made to the Adair County Humane Society. They may be sent to or left at Travis Funeral Chapel, 125 S. Church St., La Plata, Missouri 63549.
