Melody Lee Bechtle

Melody Lee Bechtle, age 68 of Hamilton Square, New Jersey, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson-Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton Square, New Jersey.
Born February 22, 1948 in Stockton, California, she was the daughter of Duane and Donna (Shumaker) Seibold. On August 10, 1974 in Boulder, Colorado, she was united in marriage to Daniel Bechtle who survives.
Also surviving are her parents, Duane and Donna Seibold of La Plata, Missouri, and one daughter, Marisa Bechtle of Hamilton Square, New Jersey.
Melody was a 1978 graduate of the University of Colorado with a BA in both Chemistry and Mathematics. Soon after graduation she moved to Hamilton Square. Melody had served as PTA president and was a Girl Scout leader for several years in Hamilton Square, New Jersey.
She enjoyed art and porcelain painting, and spending time with her pets and family. She was a member of the Ann Haynes Chapter of The DAR in Kirksville, Missouri.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Burial will be in the Chariton Grove Cemetery, west of La Plata, Missouri.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the services with the family receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Melody Lee Bechtle may be made to the Salvation Army. They may be sent to or left at Travis Funeral Chapel, 125 S. Church St., La Plata, Missouri 63549.
