Naoma Faye Deskin

Naoma Faye Deskin, age 90 of Macon, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon, Missouri.
Born December 31, 1925 in Atlanta, Missouri, the daughter of Roy LaFayette and Ora Cecelia (Wiggans) Main. On May 17, 1947 in Kirksville, Missouri she was united in marriage to Warren Harding Deskin who preceded her in death on March 13, 1995.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Claudie Albert Main; and one sister, Luetta May Bealmer.
Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Becky Deskin of Atlanta, Missouri; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and David Rector of Kirksville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Stephen, Nick, and Jon Rector, Christina Rector Huppert, and Dana Deskin Nelson; two great grandchildren, Lydia and Lauryn Nelson; and one nephew, Darrell Bealmer of Atlanta, Missouri.
Naoma was a 1943 graduate of Atlanta High School. She lived her entire married life on the farm northwest of Atlanta where she was a typical, hard-working farm wife. She was a very active member of the Atlanta Christian Church, and leader in the Home Pioneer 4-H club while her children were members.
In 1997, Naoma moved to Macon where she was very active in different organizations and volunteer work. She was a very loving, giving, and wonderful person.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Officiating will be Pastor Tim Worstell. Burial will be in the La Plata Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steven Nelson, Darrell Bealmer, Lavon Moore, Ed Rhoades, Scott Lene, and Marty Halley.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 13, 2016 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Travis Funeral Chapel.
