James Allen Sizemore, age 58 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 in Kirksville, Missouri.
Born May 13, 1958 in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of James E. and Arlene M. (Moore) Sizemore.
Survivors include his mother, Arlene Sizemore of La Plata, Missouri; one son, Lucas Sizemore of La Plata, Missouri; one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Tyson Kirkpatrick of Kirksville, Missouri; one brother, Donnie Sizemore of La Plata, Missouri; two grandchildren, Keyton O’Haver and Emmett Kirkpatrick; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His grandparents, father, and two brothers, Doug and Ronald Sizemore preceded him in death.
Jim lived most all of his life in the La Plata community. He was a 1976 graduate of Kirksville High School. Jim enjoyed hunting for arrowheads and golf balls and being outdoors. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Officiating will be Pastor Matt Tanner. Burial will be at a later date in the La Plata Cemetery.
Visitation will Thursday, December 1, 2016 with the family receiving friends from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri.
