Crystal Karen Allen

Crystal Karen Allen, age 78 of Elmer, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 in her home.
Born February 22, 1937 in Elmer, Missouri, she was the daughter of Herman and Maxine (Koger) Hoffman. On January 17, 1959 in Elmer, Missouri she was united in marriage to Walter Aaron Allen who preceded her in death on July 26, 1993.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, son-in-law Tim Gill, and nephew Jessie Baker.
Surviving are two sons, Calvin Allen of Elmer, Missouri and Larry Allen and wife Charlotte of Atlanta, Missouri; one daughter, Lori Gill of Bevier, Missouri; one sister, Ione Baker and husband Kenny of Elmer, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Kaylie Teter, Dylan Gill, Kolton Gill, Lana Allen, Gus Allen, Kory, Katy, Kandis, and Klayton Porter; six great grandchildren, Eden, Ryley, Adi, Teagan, Juliet, and Roman; and several nieces and nephews.
Crystal lived all of her life in Elmer. She was a 1955 graduate of Elmer High School. She was always very active in her community, serving as city clerk for 19 years. Area children always looked forward to her popcorn balls at Halloween. Crystal loved her family and friends and was a fantastic cook.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the Elmer Cemetery in Elmer, Missouri. Officiating will be Larry Fletcher. Pallbearers will be Klayton Porter, Brian Bradley, Mark Hellman, Dylan Gill, Kolton Gill, Gus Allen, and Kory Porter.
Following the service there will be a meal and a celebration of life at the Elmer High School.
