Kimberly Joyce Moore, age 49 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the La Plata Nursing Home.

Born August 31, 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri, she was the daughter of Fred Richard “Dickie” and Neva Joyce (Moore) Fiedler. On March 10, 1990 in Atlanta, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Blaine Lavon Moore who survives.

Also surviving is her mother, Neva Joyce Fiedler of La Plata, Missouri; one son, Bronson Fiedler Moore of La Plata, Missouri; one daughter, Merzaydee McCall Moore of Columbia, Missouri; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Pam and Ray Halstead and Candy and Chris St. Clair all of La Plata, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her father and grandparents preceded her in death.

Kim was a 1984 graduate of La Plata High School. Most of her life was spent in the La Plata community where she was very active in community events, especially the La Plata Soybean Festival and the Santa Fe Lake. She owned and operated her own day care and fire works stand for the past several years and was a member of the Atlanta Christian Church. All of Kim’s nieces, nephews and their children was a great source of joy in her life.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 1, 2015 with the family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the La Plata Christian Church, with the memorial service immediately following visitation.

Inurnment will be at a later date in the La Plata Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bronson and Merzaydee Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be all of her nieces and nephews, their spouses and their children, and her two so called adopted kids, Triston Borron and Brooklyn Couch.

Memorials in memory of Kim may be made to the Kim Moore Memorial Fund to hopefully purchase playground equipment for the La Plata City Park. They may be mailed to or left at Travis Funeral Chapel at 125 S. Church St., La Plata, Missouri 63549.
