Dolores I. Jones, age 81, passed away in her home in Independence, Missouri, Saturday, June 7, 2014.
Born April 12, 1933 in Winigan, Missouri, she was the daughter of George and Ora (Hiles) Fredman.
Survivors include her husband, Rick Silver of Independence, Missouri; one son, Edgar Jones of Independence, Missouri; one brother, William Fredman of La Plata, Missouri; two grandchildren, Zane and Morgan Jones; and two great grandchildren, Jacalyn and Leighla Jones.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Gerald Fredman; and one sister, Wanda Bradshaw.
Dolores was employed for 45 years with Bendix in Kansas City, Missouri as a multi-talented expert in several phases relating to the Defense Department of the United States.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Officiating will be Reverend Scott McNay. Burial will be in the La Plata Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service starting at 1:00 p.m.
