Bobby Dale "Bob" Aldinger
March 6, 1935 - September 11, 2013
Bobby Dale Aldinger, age 78 of Elmer, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Born March 6, 1935 in Bucklin, Missouri, he was the son of Melvin and Ella (Sevier) Burris. On September 15, 1962 in Kirksville, Missouri he married Beulah Epperson who survives.
Also surviving is one son, Rob Aldinger of Elmer, Missouri; two brothers, Dean Burris of Elmer, Missouri and Bill Burris of Elizabeth, Colorado; two sisters, Yvonne Castor of Cedarvail, Kansas and Gwen Rice of La Plata, Missouri; one grandson, Joe Weber and one great granddaughter, Jozee Weber.
His parents; stepfather, Arnold Aldinger; one son, Michael Aldinger; two sisters, Peggy Ann Burris in infancy and Joyce Burris; and one brother, Steven Burris, preceded him in death.
Bob was a 1952 graduate of Bucklin High School. He was employed by BNSF Railroad from 1952 to 1997. He served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960. Bob was a member of the Elmer Fire Department and Elmer Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, going to garage sales, and running after parts for “The Spot”.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2013 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Officiating will be Pastor Allen Perkins. Musical selections will be “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art”.
Burial with full military honors will be in Bunce Cemetery west of Elmer, Missouri. Pallbearers will be Rob Aldinger, Rodney Peavler, Jesse Peavler, Mitch Dixon, Larry Pippin, and Joe Weber.
