Madeline H. Cole, age 83, of La Plata, Missouri passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the La Plata Nursing Home in La Plata, Missouri.
Born May 1, 1930 in Wyoming, Illinois, the daughter of Clarence and Fern Katherine (Pollard) Ault. On December 24, 1949 in Peoria, Illinois she married Richard Cole who preceded her in death on September 17, 1986.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters, and two brothers.
Surviving are one daughter Diana Capps of La Plata, Missouri; two sons, Steven Cole and wife Barbara of Greenwood, Indiana and Robert Cole of Kirksville, Missouri; one sister, Arlene Berry of Quincy, Illinois; ten grandchildren; Brittany Perera, Mellisa Cole, Rusty Webber, Cristina Douglas, Adriane, Brayden and Richard Cole, Lisa Ramirez, Lori Kame, and Lana Simpson; and eight great grandchildren Kale Webber, Luci Ramirez, Melinda Lantz, Breena Hoskins, Lexi Cole, and Alex, Kayla and Derek Kane; and one great-great grandchild.
Madeline moved to La Plata in 1961 from Wyaconda, Missouri. She was a member of T.O.P.S.. She enjoyed bowling, walking, sewing, and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2012 at Travis Funeral Chapel in
La Plata, Missouri. Officiating will be Pastor Paul Milliken.
Burial will be in the La Plata Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 11, 2013 with the family receiving friends from 6:oo-8:00 p.m.
at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri.
