Emma Jean Walker

Emma Jean Walker, age 71 of Macon, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Macon Health Care Center in Macon, Missouri.
Born March 2, 1942 in Atlanta, Missouri, she was the daughter of Frank and Muriel (King) Wing. On October 5, 1958 in Atlanta, she married Richard Walker who preceded her in death on April 13, 2011.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Yvonne Farden.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Kay and David Lorton of Moberly, Missouri; one granddaughter, Amanda Phelps; and one great grandson, Brayden Anderson.
Jean lived in Macon County all of her life. She worked 18 years at the Elk’s Club in Macon and later at UGOS in Atlanta. She was a member of the Macon County Democrat Club and attended Family Life Fellowship Church in Moberly, Missouri. Jean enjoyed watching NASCAR and cheering on Carl Edwards.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 20, 2013 with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri.
There will be no funeral service. Burial will be at a later date in Mt. Tabor Cemetery east of Atlanta, Missouri.
