Judy Kay Brown

Judy Kay Brown, 64, of Linwood, Kansas peacefully passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence, Kansas.
Judy was born June 4, 1948 near La Plata, Missouri. She was the daughter of Robert E. and Eva M. (Billups) Pippin. On February 26, 1967 she married Ronnie C. Brown.
She is survived by her husband Ronnie; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Stefanie Brown of Linwood, Kansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Jim Rinehart of Aurora, Colorado; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Virgil and Colleen Pippin of Elmer, Missouri, Glen and Sherry Pippin of La Plata, and Loren and Patsy Pippin of La Plata; four sisters, Stella Tuggle, Verna Buck, Peggy Thomas and husband Jerry, and Cora Voyles and husband Larry, all of La Plata; and three grandchildren, Hannah, Rebekah, and Steven, all of whom were the lights of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jimmy.
Judy was a 1966 graduate of La Plata High School. She resided in the Kansas City area most of her adult life. Judy was a member of the La Plata Baptist Church. She was a caring and loving woman who was loved in return by everyone she knew.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the La Plata Baptist Church. Burial will be in the La Plata Cemetery under the direction of Travis Funeral Chapel.
Visitation will be Monday, April 29, 2013 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri.
