Neva Marie Cole
July 31, 1927 - February 4, 2013
Neva went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 4, 2013 in Sparta, Missouri.
Neva was born on July 31, 1927 in Macon County, Missouri and was the daughter of George and Marie Hasher. On May 4, 1944 she married Willard Cole who preceded her in death December 17, 2011.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, brothers Tom and Red Hasher, son Russell Cole, and daughter Carolyn Baarslag.
She is survived by her son Randall Cole and wife Belinda of Sparta, Missouri, daughter Barbara Rohr and husband Kerwin of Sedalia, Missouri, Son-in-law Ralph Baarslag of Tacoma, Washington, Daughter-in-law Anita Cobb of Seneca, Missouri. Grand-children, Tamara Fulk, husband Scott and children of Cedar Rapid, Iowa, Mike Rohr, wife Angie and daughter of St. Louis, Missouri, Jessica Stewart and husband Troy of Sarcoxie, Missouri, Russell Cole, wife Erin and children of Joplin, Missouri, Rebecca Scalf, husband Daniel and children, of Seneca, Missouri, Michele Blakely, husband Michael and son of Carthage, Missouri, Andrew Cole of Ozark, Missouri, Kelsey Jackson and husband Andrew of Sedalia, Missouri, Jennifer Barnes and Abbi of Ozark, Missouri, Richard Barnes, wife Jessica and son of Sparta, Missouri, Stephanie Barnes of Sparta, Missouri.
While Neva was a teacher earlier in life and worked on the farm with Willard where they farmed and raised historic herds of Angus Cattle, her most enjoyable career was preparing income taxes, she enjoyed getting to meet and work with her clients. After retiring she loved to travel taking many trips with tour groups and to the Northwest to visit her brothers. Neva loved her family and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2013 at Travis Funeral Chapel in LaPlata, Missouri.
Burial will be in the La Plata Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 7, 2013 with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Travis Funeral Chapel, La Plata, Missouri.
