Ann Jones Winger

Ann Jones Winger, age 75 of Long Beach, California, passed away on December 29, 2013 from cancer.
Born in Springfield, Missouri on March 29, 1938, the daughter of Dr. John Ben Jones and Martha Nell Jones, RN, who preceded her in death.
Ann grew up in Kirksville, Missouri, graduating from Kirksville High School in 1956 and Northeast Missouri State Teachers College in 1960. Ann was a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. After graduating college, Ann moved to Los Angeles where she spent many years as an elementary school teacher. She retired to Long Beach, CA living within walking distance to her son.
Ann is survived by her son, John Mark Winger.
At Ann’s request, there will be no service. She will be interred in the family plot in the La Plata Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Travis Funeral Chapel,
La Plata, Missouri.
