Mark Lynn Kelley

Mark Lynn Kelley, age 56 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 at his home.
Born April 1, 1957 in Kirksville, Missouri, he was the son of Woodrow E. and Alma May (Mayer) Kelley. On June 10, 1983 in La Plata, Missouri he married Kimbra Lea Crawford who survives.
Also surviving is one son, Slater Kelley and wife Alyssa of Brookfield, Missouri; one daughter, Bliss Kelley and friend Chad of Kirksville, Missouri; three brothers, Edward Kelley of Peoria, Illinois, Gary Kelley and wife Fran of Green Castle, Missouri, and Rex Kelley and wife Jean of Crown Point, Indiana; and two sisters, Lynda Laske and husband Dale of Hurdland, Missouri, and Sharon Simmons and husband Harold of La Plata, Missouri.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Mark grew up in the Hurland community and was a 1975 graduate of Knox County High School. Most of his adult life was spent in La Plata. He was a longtime employee of Wal-Mart, and was a member of the La Plata Christian Church. Mark loved hunting, the St. Louis Cardinals, and especially spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2013 at the Community Presbyterian Church in La Plata, Missouri. Burial will be in the La Plata Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, October 25, 2013 at the church with the family receiving friends from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
