Mary E. O'Connell

Mary E. O’Connell, age 92 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012 at the La Plata Nursing Home.
Born March 2, 1920 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Albert and Mary E. (Wurtz) Krause who precedes her in death.
Also preceding her in death was one sister, Anna Wolf and one brother, William O’Connell.
Surviving is one sister, Alberta Collins and husband Leland of La Plata, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great-nephews; including one niece, Judith Romanski and husband Joe of Pennsylvania and one nephew, Leland D. Collins and wife Joanne of New Jersey.
Mary lived most all of her life in Pennsylvania where she was a member of St. Michael’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. For the past twenty-five years she lived in La Plata with her sister, Alberta.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Travis Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers Memorials in memory of Mary E. O’Connell may be made to the La Plata Nursing Home or to the Alzheimer’s Association. They may be sent to or left at Travis Funeral Chapel, 125 S. Church St., La Plata, Missouri 63549.
