Patsy Ruth Morrow

Patsy Ruth Morrow, age 82 of Memphis, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis, Missouri.
Born April 3, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of John L. and Dortha V. (Huston) Crawford. On June 29, 1947 she married Billie C. Morrow who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents.
Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Jan Morrow of Memphis, Missouri; one daughter and son-in-law, Tamara and Tim Levins of Galesburg, Illinois; two sisters, Clara Lou Sewell of Phoenix, Arizona and Jeannine Nichols of Davenport, Iowa; two brothers, Richard Crawford of La Plata, Missouri and Roger Crawford of Union, Iowa; four grandchildren, Astacia Hauck and husband Roland of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Anita Nyenhuis and husband Chris of Kansas City, Missouri, Benjamin Levins of Iowa City, Iowa, and Bethany Perry and husband Todd of Omaha, Nebraska; four great grandchildren, Manning, Zander, and Landry Hauck, and Maxwell Perry; and several nieces and nephews.
Patsy grew up in the Gibbs and La Plata communities. She was a 1947 graduate of La Plata High School. After her marriage she moved to the New London, Iowa area. For thirty-five years she worked as a custom seamstress. Patsy was a member of the United Methodist Church in New London where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She moved to Memphis, Missouri in 2007.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the La Plata Cemetery in La Plata, Missouri. Officiating will be Pastors Roger Crawford and Steve Jarvis.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 13, 2012 with the family receiving friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri.
