Bobby Joe McLin, age 69 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the La Plata Nursing Home in La Plata, Missouri.
Born November 17, 1941 near Nickellton, Missouri, he was the son of Lawrence Delmar and Thelma Opal (Reedy) McLin.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one daughter, Scis McLin; and two brothers, Donnie and Ronnie McLin.
Surviving are three sons, Bobby McLin and wife Samantha of Elmira, Michigan, Lawny McLin of La Plata, Missouri, and Guy McLin and wife Erica of Atlanta, Missouri; five daughters, Lois Jacobs and husband Doug of La Plata, Missouri, Anis McLin-Morris and husband Jon of St. Louis, Missouri, Jois McConnell and husband Marc of Kirksville, Missouri, Kala McLin of Troy, Missouri, and Iris Gaerditz and husband A.J. of La Plata, Missouri; two brothers, Bill McLin and wife Carol of Macon, Missouri and Randy McLin and wife Pam of Bevier, Missouri; three sisters, Betty Rhoads and husband Steve of St. Louis, Missouri, Patty Slater and husband Keith of Aurora, Ohio, and Rhonda Nelson and husband Dan of Atlanta, Missouri; and sixteen grandchildren.
Bob was a lifelong resident of Macon County where he worked construction and farmed. He loved flying airplanes.
Family graveside services, with the Reverend Scott Dalrymple officiating will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Richards Dale Cemetery in Bevier, Missouri.
