Clyde Eldon Corrick

Clyde Eldon Corrick, age 79 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011 at La Plata Nursing Home, La Plata, Missouri.
Born January 16, 1931 in the East Center Community east of Kirksville, Missouri, he was the son of Percy and Lena (Watson) Corrick. On October 23, 1952 Clyde was united in marriage to Corinne Baldon who survives.
Also surviving are six children, Jeannie Beyer and husband Larry of Kirksville, Missouri, Eldon Corrick and Jody Bingham of La Plata, Missouri, Gerald Corrick and wife Debbie of Albion, Iowa, Marvin Corrick and wife Andy of Phoenix, Arizona, Mike Corrick and wife Terri of Greentop, Missouri, and Janet Lloyd and husband Martin of Green City, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren, Kevin Shouse and wife Michelle, Kurt Shouse, Eric Corrick and wife Courtney, Pam Kilmer and husband Chad, Jason Corrick and wife Kelsee, Josh Corrick and wife Candice, Marta Aeschliman and husband Whit, Jessica Corrick, Malena McClamroch and husband Cody, Lucas Corrick, Amy Denham, Timothy Corrick, and Jacob Hubbard; and nine great grandchildren, Jade Shouse, Sara Shouse, Courtney Shouse, MaKinley Aeschliman, Sidney Aeschliman, Alika Corrick, Jackson Corrick, Paisley McClamroch, and Duke Corrick.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Clarence Corrick.
Clyde was a 1949 graduate of La Plata High School. He served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. In 1976 Clyde and Corinne moved to Greentop, Missouri and built a feeder pig operation as well as maintaining employment with Burdman Auto Parts. Clyde enjoyed going to livestock auctions and participating in is grandchildren’s 4-H and FFA projects and sports events. He was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church of La Plata, Missouri.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Travis Funeral Chapel, La Plata, Missouri. Officiating will be the Reverend Ralph Wheeler.
Burial with Military Honors will be in the La Plata Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his four sons. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 18, 2011 with family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Travis Funeral Chapel.

I am sorry for your loss. During one summer I was pregnant with my oldest daughter I learned so much from Clyde and Corrineabout life and pigs! That summer will always be apart of me. My prayers are with your family.

My sympathy goes out to the family. So sorry to hear of your loss of your dad Jeannie. I know he has been ailing for sometime. He is now in a better place. God be with you in this time of your sorrow.
