Robert Lee Snow

Robert Lee Snow, age 76 of LaPlata, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.
Born February 27, 1934 near Novelty, Missouri, he was the son of Charles Orville and Sophia Lena (Kautz) Snow. On December 24, 1955 in Kirksville, Missouri he married Mary Lou Benstine who survives.
Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Jan Snow of Mansfield, Texas and Mark and Paula Snow of Macon, Missouri; one brother, Roger Snow of LaPlata, Missouri; one sister, Leota Krawl of Atlanta, Missouri; five grandchildren, Steven, Marissa and Colby Snow, Stephanie and Brian East; three great grandchildren, Shelby, Seth and Shaye East; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Curtis, Ralph and Raymond Snow; and four sisters, Velma Goodwin, Dorothy Taylor, Deloma Snow and Ruby Voyles.
Robert received his education in the Knox County Rural Schools. Before moving to LaPlata in 1992 he lived in Edina, Missouri where he was employed at the Edina Glove Factory and later the Shoe Factory in Kirksville, Missouri.
A celebration of life will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Travis Funeral Chapel in LaPlata, Missouri. Officiating will be Pastor Everett Smith.
Robert had requested to be cremated. There will be no visitation or internment.
