Travis Funeral Chapel

Doris Jean Magers, age 90 of Macon, Missouri, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon, Missouri.

Born April 30, 1931 in La Plata, Missouri, the daughter of Seth Earl and Nellie Gladys (Cuffel) Romjue. On September 1, 1949 in La Plata, Missouri she was united in marriage to Harry Dean Magers who preceded her in death on May 3, 1967.

Also preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Donald Dean Romjue.

Surviving are three children, Sheri (Bernie) Ulhorn of Macon, Missouri, Kathy (Stan) Ward of Millican, Texas, and Daryl (Lana) Magers of Pahrump, Nevada; six grandchildren, Danny, Matt, and Timmy Ulhorn, Zane and Seth Magers, and Kaitlin Ward; eleven great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

Doris lived all of her life in Macon County. She was a 1949 graduate of La Plata High School. She was a hard working woman, working many jobs to provide for her family. Doris loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2021 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Burial will be in the La Plata Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
