Roland “Bub” Dale Carnahan

Roland “Bub” Dale Carnahan, age 82 of Macon, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital in Macon, Missouri.

Born December 3, 1935 in Atlanta, Missouri, the son of David R. and Alice F. (Sweesy) Carnahan. On June 5, 1954 in Atlanta, Missouri he was united in marriage to Kay Marlene Doggett who preceded him in death on April 21, 1973. He later married Joyce Mangrum who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Ronda March and husband Keith of Macon and Renita Waldron of Macon; one son, Roland L. Carnahan and wife Tasha of Temple, Texas; two step-daughters, Lily Carol Hall and Tabitha Tucker both of Macon; one step-son, Donald Tucker of Macon; one sister, Doris Claypoole of Macon; one brother, Gene Carnahan of Kansas City, Missouri; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

His parents, wife Kay, one son, Russell Carnahan, and one brother, Vernon Carnahan, preceded him in death.

Roland was a 1953 graduate of Atlanta High School. For several years before retiring, he was employed at POET in Macon. He was a member of the Atlanta Christian Church. Roland enjoyed visiting with family and friends, baking cookies, and spending time with his dogs.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Atlanta Christian Church. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery east of Atlanta, Missouri.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
