Othia “Gene” “Dick” Hiles, age 76 of Topeka, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017.
Born February 8, 1941 in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of Othia O. and Wilma (McCullough) Hiles.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Hiles of Topeka, Kansas; children, Crystal Lynn Singer and husband Timothy of Odessa, Missouri, Steven E. Hiles and wife Graziella of Melbourne, Florida, Daniel Hiles-Jones and Albert of Topeka, Kansas, and Jason S. Hiles of Topeka, Kansas; step-children, Ken Beaver and wife Tammy of Topeka, Debra Fritts of Topeka, Robert Beaver and wife Lisa of Leavenworth, and Ron Holzhuter and wife Karin of California; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marge of Kansas City, Kansas and Madeline Hardman of Kirksville, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathleen Elizabeth (Dickerson) Hiles; and sisters, Mary Jo Miller and an infant sister.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2017 in the La Plata Cemetery, La Plata, Missouri. Services are under the direction of Travis Funeral Chapel, 125 S. Church St., La Plata, Missouri 63549.
